The
War in Georgia
A report by John S. Torell
Our television screens suddenly exploded
with pictures and video clips of Russian tanks and soldiers invading the
nation of Georgia this past week. Some people thought it was the state of
Georgia here in the United States. Sadly, many people don’t even know
there is a nation called Georgia, and if they do, they have no clue where
it’s located. Let us begin with a brief historical background of this
nation.
HISTORY
Around 400 B.C., the Georgian tribes were
united to form the Kingdom of
Georgia. The
Roman Empire conquered the Caucasus
region in 66 B.C. and Georgia
became a Roman client state for the next 400 years. In 330 A.D., King
Marian III converted to Christianity and this became the state religion.
Due to war between the East Roman Empire
and Persia, the Georgian Kingdom fell apart and became a cluster of small
kingdoms. When the Muslims began their conquest and started to war against
all the nations in the Middle East and Eastern Europe,
Georgia
fell under the brutal boots of the Islamic invaders.
Prince Ashot I of the Bagrationi family
began to reign in 813 A.D. and for the next 1,000 years this family would
rule Georgia. Western and Eastern Georgia were united during the reign of
Bagrat V (1027-1072). During the years of David IV (1099-1125), the Seljuk
Turks were driven out of the kingdom and it was expanded southward into
Armenia and eastward to the Caspian Sea.
The Khazar Empire just north of Georgia
that existed during the 7th through the 11th
centuries cannot be omitted. A part of Georgia was held by them, and since
Judaism had become the state religion in this empire, Georgia also has a
Jewish community dating back to this time. These Georgian Jews are not
blood descendants of Abraham, but descendants to Gentiles who converted to
Judaism in the eight century. They are also known as, “The Thirteenth
Tribe.” However, the World Zionist Organization considers them full
blooded Jews and most of them are loyal to the state of Israel.
The Mongolian invasion in 1226 reached
Georgia and the kingdom with its capital of Tblisi fell to the Mongols. As
the Mongols eventually were defeated and driven out of the area, Georgia
again fell into small serfdoms with local tribal leaders fighting for
dominance. During the 16th century, Georgia was divided into an
eastern province ruled by Persia and the western province ruled by the
Ottoman Empire. Many rebellions took place with reprisals against the
civilian population by the occupying forces. At one point the population
in Georgia had been reduced to 250,000 persons. In 1747, the Georgian
people started an uprising and were eventually able to kick out the
oppressors and unite the kingdom once again under King Heraclius II in
1762.
THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING
In 1800 the Russians came south and
claimed that King George XI had requested for Georgia to be annexed into
Russia. This decree was finalized in 1801 and confirmed by Tsar Alexander
I, on September 12, 1801. In the summer of 1805, Russian troops defeated
the Persian Army and established control over Tblisi. During a war in
1810, the Russians established firm control over the Western portion of
Georgia and a number of territories outside Georgia were added to the
newly formed Georgian province. Some of the people living in these
territories like Ossetia and
Abkhazia are currently fighting to break loose from
Georgia.
Georgia declared its independence when the
Communist take over began in Russia
117 years later. A year later, in 1918,
Georgia went to war with Armenia over a
land dispute. Great Britain intervened with troops, and from 1918 to 1920,
Georgia was under British protection.
It is interesting to note that during the
years of 1918-1919, the Georgian general Giorgi Mazniashvili led Georgian
troops in battles against the White Army of Russia, which was trying to
fend off the communists.
In February 1921, Georgia was attacked by
the Red Army and defeated. A puppet communist government was installed in
Tblisi, with Filipp Makharadze, a Georgian Bolshevik at the head.
In 1924, the Georgian people revolted
against the Communists and were brutally suppressed by the Soviet army. To
ensure that there would be no further troubles for the Soviets, Georgia,
Armenia and Azerbaijan were all lumped together as a new republic, which
became known as Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic (SSR).
During World War II, 700,000 Georgian men
were forced to serve in the Red Army. 350,000 of them died on the
battlefront with Germany. Thousands of Georgian men hated the Soviet
regime and enlisted with the Nazis to fight against the Russians.
From 1924 through 1991 Georgia suffered
under the oppression of the Soviet Union until it collapsed and Georgia
once again became independent.
THE BEGINNING OF INDEPENDENCE
A demonstration for freedom, like so many
before it took place on April 9, 1989, in Tblisi but was brutally
suppressed by Soviet troops and resulted in a number of dead civilians.
Two years later, on April 9, prior to the collapse of the Soviet Union in
November 1991, Georgia declared its independence but in a short time found
itself embroiled in a bitter civil war that would last until 1995.
The first elected president of the
independent Georgia was ousted in a coup in 1992. Order was not restored
to Georgia until 1995, when the former Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs
under Gorbachev, Eduard Shevardnadze was elected president of Georgia.
During the Soviet era, he had been the head of the communist party in
Georgia and had held a number of government offices.
The Russian government under the
leadership of Boris Yeltsin was unhappy with losing Georgia since the
region was vital for future natural gas and oil transfers to the West. The
Russian intelligence service, now renamed “Federal Security Service,”
formerly known as the KGB, was used to foment trouble in two regions of
Georgia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Both regions achieved some kind of
independence from Georgia and Russian troops were stationed in the regions
as peace keepers. 250,000 ethnic Georgians were forced by Russia and its
national separatists to leave their homes in Abkhazia. The Russian
government granted Russian citizenship to the people living in these two
breakaway regions.
It is noteworthy to point out that
Vladimir Putin, the former Russian president and current prime minister
was a career KGB officer.
GEORGIA, A HOT PIECE OF REAL ESTATE
Our current civilization is based upon oil
and natural gas, without these two components, any nation and its armed
forces will come to a stand still.
Since the World Government encourages the
existence of different power blocks like the United States,
European Union,
Russia and China, each government is constantly looking to secure enough
oil and gas to run their respective nations. Let’s not forget the nation
of Israel, the centerpiece in the World Government and the future ruler of
a United World. Therefore, any nation that is valuable to any of these
power blocks, can expect a presence of foreign intelligence services. This
is what happened to Georgia after it broke loose from the Soviet Union.
These intelligence services will work on several fronts, sending in agents
to rally people for different causes, stir up trouble and eliminate any
opposition.
The Western nations in the mid 1990’s, put
together a plan to build a huge set of pipelines from oil and gas fields
in former Soviet republics and route them through Georgia. There was a
pipeline built in 1997-1998 that ended up in the Georgian seaport of Supsa
in the Black Sea and another line
that snaked through southern
Georgia and through Turkey to the Mediterranean Sea. Thus, we are talking
about several pipelines, some for natural gas and others for oil. They are
operated by British Petroleum (BP).
The American government under the
administrations of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush realized that it was
important to keep the Russians out of
Georgia
and pull this republic into NATO and under Western control. The government
of Israel also wanted a piece of the cake, but in order to control
Georgia, the old Soviet Foreign Minister must be taken out of power.
Shevardnadze had been re-elected for a second term in 2000, and as an old
school Communist, he walked a tightrope between Russia and the West, but
tilted more toward Russia.
ENTER GEORGE SOROS
George Soros is a Hungarian born Jew
residing in the United States, one of the world’s wealthiest men and
on-call for the Mossad (Israeli intelligence service). Over the years the
Mossad has taken a number of European Jews and made them into billionaires
and been able to use them for Jewish causes. Robert Maxwell (1923-1991)
was another Hungarian Jew, who along with Rupert Murdoch, an Australian
Jew, built media empires that serve the interests of Israel.
A young Georgian man was selected by the
World Government to be the new president of Georgia. Mikheil Saakashvili
was born in 1969 and received an education in Ukraine, France and the
United States, where he attended Columbia University Law School in New
York City where he met his wife Sandra who is from Holland.
In October 2000, he returned to Georgia
with his family and was appointed justice minister by Shevardnadze, who
trusted the young attorney and started to groom him for further political
offices. Mikheil resigned in 2002, claiming that the entire Georgian
government was ripe with corruption. In the summer of 2003, George Soros
paid all expenses for Saakashvili and a group of his followers to spend
time in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, where they were trained in how to
overthrow the government.
THE ROSE REVOLUTION
Once back in Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili
led large demonstrations brandishing red roses. These demonstrations
continued and increased in the number of people attending until
Shevardnadze was forced out of power. These demonstrations took place in
the middle of the winter, and fresh roses had to be flown in on a daily
basis. This was paid by Soros, who in turn was reimbursed by the Mossad,
who in turn was reimbursed by the CIA,
who in turn used American taxpayers’ money for this project. It is
estimated that $46 million dollars was spent on this regime change in
Georgia.
Once Saakashvili had taken over the office
as the new president of Georgia, he promised to bring the two breakaway
regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia back under Georgian control, knowing
this would spark an armed conflict with Russia. But Israel and the Western
powers wanted South Ossetia to be under Georgian control, since the oil
and gas pipelines were running very close to the border of South Ossetia.
Two years later in an election, he was legally elected president of
Georgia with a landslide victory.
BUILDING UP THE ARMED FORCES OF GEORGIA
Without the knowledge of the American
people, the Bush administration started to send military advisors and
hardware to Georgia. Israel also sent military advisors and sold military
hardware to the government of Georgia. Isn’t it interesting that Israel
receives billions of dollars in aid every year from America and it sells
military hardware too. That makes them a winner twice and the taxpayers a
loser twice because the military hardware and financial aid given away.
The political ground was laid to bring
Georgia into NATO because the Bush administration wanted to place a strong
anti-missile defense system in Georgia. Officially, it was to neutralize
the Iranian missile threat but it would also neutralize the Russian
missile as well. Russia knows this and has bitterly opposed it, promising
military action if this takes place.
SHEEP DIPPING
Sheep dipping is a military term for the
following cover up. The CIA has armed and maintains secret mercenaries
around the world. The majority of these soldiers in these combat units are
non-Americans but there are still thousands of American soldiers in these
units. Here is how they are recruited:
The
CIA
puts in a request to the U.S. armed forces of what kind of personnel it
needs. Regular military personnel are then contacted and given the option
to serve in a secret CIA combat unit with a huge salary.
Once a man accepts the new assignment, he
is taken off the official rolls of the U.S. armed forces and ceases to
exist.
He is trained and taken to a foreign land
where he serves in a clandestine operation. His uniform has no markings,
he carries no personal papers, and if he is taken captive, there is no
identification that leads back to the
U.S.
military. If he is taken captive, the American government will not help
him and will deny that he is an American service man. He is totally on his
own, and usually men who are taken captive are tortured to extract
information and executed.
If the man survives his tour in the CIA
unit, he is transferred back to the
U.S. armed forces and begins to exist
again. The time he has served is counted on his records and all promotions
given to him are transferred to his official record.
There are CIA
combat units operating in many foreign nations, instigating trouble and
working to undermine national governments in order to facilitate American
policies. The Russians have released information that they have captured
American and Israeli advisors, who they claim led the Georgian forces.
GEORGIA ATTACKS SOUTH OSSETIA
On Monday,
August 4, 2008, the Georgian army started an offensive beginning with
artillery shelling of Ossetian defense positions and six Ossetian soldiers
were killed. Four days later Georgian tanks were entering the city of
Tschinvali, the capital of Ossetia.
At the same time five villages were attacked by Georgian army units.
On Saturday, August 9, the President
Saakashvili declared his nation is at war with Russia and called home
3,000 troops from Iraq. The U.S. Air Force immediately began to airlift
the Georgian troops home so they could fight the Russians.
By Sunday, Russia responded by sending in
6,000 soldiers and landing another 4,000 Russian soldiers via the Black
Sea. Russian military aircrafts
were bombing targets inside
Georgia, causing much damage.
On Monday, August 11, the Georgian
Minister of Reintegration, Temur Yakobashvili (Jewish) was interviewed by
the Army Radio of Israel and made the following statement in Hebrew, “Israel
should be proud of its military, which trained Georgian soldiers.”
The Israeli newspaper “Haaretz” wrote the
following on its web version the same day, “Georgian Minister Temur
Yakobashvili yesterday praised
Israel for its role in training Georgian
troops and said Israel should be proud of its military might.”
(Yakobashvili was referring to the sheep dipping of Israeli mercenaries
Georgia had hired.) “Yakobashvili said a small group of Georgian
soldiers were able to wipe out an entire Russian military division, thanks
to the Israeli training.”
ANOTHER BAY OF PIGS?
In 1960, the CIA
had trained a large force of Cuban soldiers in Nicaragua and a year later
U.S. Navy landed them on the beach of the Bay of Pigs in Cuba to overthrow
Fidel Castro. But once the landing crafts were in the water and on the way
to the beach, the President Kennedy gave the order that no further
assistance could be given. The promised naval bombardment and air cover
was withdrawn. The end result was that the entire invasion force was
either killed or taken captive.
The same situation seems to be developing
in Georgia. Israel cut off all arms sales to Georgia in July, 2008, even
though they knew in advance that Georgian troops had been ordered by the
CIA or the Mossad to attack
Ossetia in August.
On August 13, 2008, the Israeli Foreign
Ministry announced that 210 Israelis and 30 immigrants from Georgia
arrived safely back in Israel the day before and that 600 Israeli
mercenaries and Georgian Jews, which had assembled at the Israeli Embassy
in Tblisi, would be evacuated as soon as possible. In other words, Israel
was pulling back its mercenaries and leaving Georgia to fend for itself
against the Russian bear.
George Bush on the other hand gave orders
on August 13th to start airlifting supplies to Georgia to help
its people. The first cargo plane landed in Tblisi with more to follow and
U.S. naval forces are also sailing toward the Georgian coast bringing
relief supplies. There are also regular American military personnel
stationed in Georgia, plus the CIA
units.
Condoleezza Rice, the American Secretary
of State, has been ordered to fly to Tblisi to assess the situation and
give a strong warning to the Russians but there are questions which need
to be answered. Who gave the suicidal order for Georgian troops to attack
in Ossetia? With no fighter
aircraft and only small units of tanks and artillery, the Georgian troops
had no chance against the Russian army, navy and air force. Was this
attack ordered by some “trigger happy Georgian nationalist” or is it a
diversion to cover some other future military operation elsewhere?
Since the Georgian troops were controlled
by either U.S. officers or Israeli Army officers, the attack could not
take place unless both Washington
D.C. and Jerusalem were in agreement. This brings us to the next question.
Oil prices have been falling steadily the last four weeks but once BP shut
down the oil pipeline in Georgia, the price of oil is rising again. Was
this conflict started to boost oil prices since oil consumption has fallen
by 800,000 barrels a day in the United States alone?
THE SPIRITUAL FACTOR
It is clear to me that powerful demonic
principalities have ruled this area for thousands of years. Wars,
atrocities, mass killings, deception and treason have been the norm for
the region. Russia is ruled by the demon prince’s Gog and Magog and the
demon prince of Persia
has ruled his region for a long time. These demon powers never die and use
generation after generation for their war games. Only God can stop this
madness and that requires fervent praying by Christians! Are you willing
to pray and fast for this?
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord,
and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual
wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of
God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done
all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:10-13)
